We hit the coast about 4 hours into our drive and descended down to the beach. The sand was super soft and full of beautiful rocks that we took some time collecting:
We got to Greymouth, headed to dinner at a restaurant next door to our hotel, then went to the grocery store to stock up for the long 6.5 hour drive further South down Highway 6 tomorrow (ending destination being Wanaka, where we will do 2 days of fishing.) More on that tomorrow!
Special thank you to Brendan and Georgina for our hotel stay in Greymouth!
Wow, I hit the jackpot this morning opening your blog! This is the best gift I could ever hope for, getting to share your wonderful trip with you. If you get a chance to look for rocks again, I would love a gorgeous rock like the ones you found from New Zealand's beaches :)
