Auckland to Denver

We have officially made it back to Denver! Our flights (Auckland - San Francisco, San Francisco - Denver) went well. Both actually arrived early and all of our luggage made it. You really can't beat that!!

We were fortunate enough to fly in first class on these, with a HUGE THANK YOU to Nancy (Monica's mom)!!! It definitely helped with the blues of leaving this amazing country and honeymoon behind. We felt like royalty. :)

Perks began by hanging out in the Auckland lounge before takeoff where they served delicious food and wine/beer:

We were one of the first to board the flight, where we sipped on champagne, decided our main course for dinner and enjoyed looking through things in our complimentary goodie bags (like fresh socks and sleep masks):

We then got comfy with blankets and pillows, drank complimentary drinks and enjoyed the yummy 4 course airplane food:

We watched movies and fully laid down to fall asleep for a few hours. The flight itself took 12 hours, but when you're flying like this, time really does fly by (pun intended). Here is Monica who was relaxed, then sad to have the cabin lights turned on for breakfast:

When we landed, we had to go through customs and collect our luggage for the next flight. We flew first class again, and were one of the first ones on. Here we are enjoying a cup of coffee:

The view of the Rockies were pretty as we arrived to DIA:

We were fortunate enough to have Monica's brother, Joe, pick us up at the airport. A very special THANK YOU to him for not only getting us, but for also watching our house and cat while we were away for three weeks!!! We seriously are indebted and are so grateful for you!!

While we're sad to be done with the trip, it is nice to be home and to hang out with Orion, the cat. We missed him while we were away!
